Two dedicated professionals, representing decades of experience, teach the Core Integrity Model to caring therapists across the U.S. and globally. The principals, their work experience, and credentials are described below.
Jim McCarthy, MA
Lowell Routley (Ph.D., Counseling). Founder and executive director of Heartland Initiative, Dr. Routley encountered a case of multiple personality disorder for the very first time in 1982. This introduction to the dissociative mindset initiated a personal and professional quest to understand and treat the abused and traumatized. As he counseled clients and observed their progress, he incorporated the most effective principles and methods, developing the Core Integrity Model. After tens of thousands of hours of client interactions, twenty-some years of education and study, Heartland Initiative was established in 2002 to transform lives impacted by trauma. Today, this wise and understanding man finds himself at an important crossroads: sensing an obligation to pass on this vital information through the development of a network of therapists.
Trauma consultant, Jim McCarthy (M.A.), has been a social movements researcher and trainer for more than 30 years. Since 1983, he has provided therapist and patient consultation, offering information about trauma, contexts of trauma, and identifying components that are unique and often necessary to the trauma recovery process. There is a pressing need for Mr. McCarthy to train others in the distinctive consultation services he provides.
